Each combination of letters and numbers provides users with a reference to adhesive recommendations for specific tile types on various surfaces. Below is a key to the letter/number codes used for each product.
To simplify matters we have asked participating adhesive manufacturers to list a variety of products for various surfaces and popular products like porcelain and marble.
In general all substrates and walls should be free of grease or any other contaminents. All surfaces should be prepared smooth, flat and dry. Always follow manufacturers instructions on the bag's and drums and refer to the manufacturers MSDS or Technical Data sheets which are available on the participating company's website or at www.infotile.com. The materials listed in the Adhesive Selection Guide are not the only products suitable for a particular surface. If more information is required contact the manufacturer of your choice.
